welcome to the crazy, now, let's get some perspective

So, I am working on a podcast. Lots of folks are doing that now right?! Podcasts have become my life. I have so many different people speaking into my ears that, at times, it feel like I am touched. I'm not, but I live for hearing those voices so I decided that it was time to get out some stories and perspectives I haven't heard yet.

What sets this one apart? Well, You get a glimpse into my life that is unfiltered and, for the most part, hysterical. I mean, a Black-White Jewish woman married to a German living in Europe . . . what could happen?!

You will hear me having conversations with my husband, my children, friends and you get the added bonus of hearing me go off about all kinds of shit!

From politics to choice to racism to education to racism (again) to feminisism to white women, back to racism (again), to intersectionality to politics, to climate change to recycling to "trash Nazis (it's a thing) to life as an immigrant. I talk about books, movies, music, and social media (it's evil yet necessary), food and how to properly pronounce the word "squirrel" . . . it's a thing in my life, just trust me.

I will also talk about Kamala Harris because she NEEDS to be our president. If you don't see that, you aren't paying attention and (with the voice of Jeff Foxworthy replacing redneck with racist) you might be racist if you . . . so MANY blanks we can fill in. I stan for her. She is everything and I will make it my mission to to make sure everyone knows this. I am starting with my mom. She is a "current occupant" supporter, Tea Party member of the crazy tribe. But there will be other posts/podcasts on that topic. I also talk about the 2020 elections from the perspective of an overseas voter. We NEVER get mentioned and I think it's time to change that. This next election is too fucking important!

More importantly, I address the  pressing issue about what really happens to the socks when they go to the dryer. They all go in . . . but they don't come out. I see a conspiracy. The deep state is taking hold of the socks. So we WILL talk about that!

My husband makes me laugh (and cry) all of the time, so you will hear a lot of that. My children, especially my youngest, have a fascinating view of the world from politics to recycling to climate change. We talk about these things.

Now, two things: 1) I curse A LOT! Like I have made sailors blush and I am very proud of that fact thank you! Just, if you are gonna listen, be careful where you are . . . and 2) the only problem with getting this out there is that I absolutely HATE to sound of my voice. So when I have to edit them, they never are good enough. I have to let that go. Don't judge the voice, just listen to the message (even when it's crazy) and I hope that you will enjoy it.

You can find a little snippet of what is to come here. I was having fun with my husband and I had tweeted our earlier that he was singing "Angry Black Woman" and he wouldn't let me get video. But I got audio and it still makes me laugh!
